Signs of magnesium deficiency: Is that your muscle cramping?

If you are plagued by severe cramps in your legs (“Charlie Horses”), this might be a sign of magnesium deficiency.
If your have twitches in your temple, this might be a sign of magnesium deficiency.
If you have muscle tremors, this might be a sign of magnesium deficiency.
If you have nausea or vomiting, these may also be signs of magnesium deficiency.
Clinical tests for magnesium deficiency are hard to come by and somewhat unreliable. If you think you may have a magnesium deficiency, do a trial run of supplementation and see if your symptoms improve. You can read more about how much magnesium to take for depression (which happens to be how much magnesium you should take if you are deficient). You can also learn more about specific forms of magnesium like magnesium taurate for depression.
