We haven’t received our fiscal-stimulus checks around here yet, but we’ve all been bantering about what to do with them. Here are some ideas:
My dad:
“I am putting mine in the bank because that’s exactly what the government doesn’t want me to do with it.”
My mom:
“I may cash mine and put the cash under the mattress. Or perhaps I’ll buy garden seeds.”
My husband:
“I am going to save everyone a lot of time and send my check directly to China.”
Me:
“I’m going to Disneyland.”
I do try to do my part as an American.

We’re spending our check in Italy this summer.
That’s a fine idea, Anna. Maybe we should plan a trip to China considering my husband’s plan.

Putting it straight into the savings account.
Better not buy any souvenirs while at Disneyland if you want to keep your $ stateside!
The government is buying me a 9mm and ammo to go along with it. I am sure they are happy about it!
You sound like a real bad ass, Mommaofmany.
I don’t think I’m going to Disneyland after all, but it was a good thought. I expect when it comes right down to it, my husband won’t send any money straight to China. Most likely we’ll go with my mom’s seed idea and use the bucks to fix and improve our garden area. After the initial spending, the work will make us more self-sufficient. Good for us but perhaps not so good for stimulating the economy.
